MamaJama Productions was conceived in the late 1980’s at Oberlin College in Ohio. From improvised performances in Germany to playing with Oberlin’s Chamber Orchestra at Lincoln Center, classmates Jessica Gilliam-Valls and Sally Barr knew that they had aspirations beyond the recital, orchestra, and soloist paths alone.
