Applied Mechanics

Philadelphia’s vibrant young theatre company Applied Mechanics is comprised of founders Rebecca Wright and Maria Shaplin and ensemble members Kristen Bailey, Thomas Choinacky, Jessica Hurley, John Jarboe, and Mary Tuomanen. Applied Mechanics is interested in exploring the relationships between bodies and space, and in building stories with actors that challenge conventional ideas of theatrical space, narrative, and performer-audience relationship.
