    Fusebox brings artists and audiences together to explore vital issues, ideas and new possibilities. Our ongoing investigation positions the arts at the center of local, national, and global conversations about contemporary life and culture. Fusebox is a 501(c)3 non-profit. The 2018 Fusebox Festival dates are Wednesday 18 – Sunday 22 April. CORE VALUES COMMUNITY – Fusebox actively pursues creative, out-of-the-box approaches to the most vital issues facing our communities. EXPLORATION — Fusebox champions adventurous artists and projects that expand our understanding of what is possible. CROSS-POLLINATION — Fusebox employs a hybrid, cross-disciplinary approach to its programming that allows us to crack things open and look at them in new ways. LEARNING – Fusebox engages learners of all ages with hands-on projects that teach real skills while also sparking creativity and expanding knowledge. SUPPORT FOR ARTISTS — Fusebox creates a more sustainable environment for artists by providing resources, equipment, space, advocacy, and funding. COLLABORATION — Fusebox builds creative partnerships that expand community and further the reach and impact of artists, organizations, business, and government.

    The Generic Ensemble Company (GenEnCo) makes the invisible visible through bold, socially relevant, body-centered theatre.GenEnCo is a team of artists that devises and produces innovative adaptations and new work.GenEnCo views marginal bodies, experiences and subject positions as central to the form and content of creating work. As such we strive to promote, foster, and engage performance, writing and ideas of/with people of color, queers, gender queers, women, working class people, immigrants and youth.GenEnCo trains together regularly in Suzuki Actor Training and Viewpoints, and uses Theatre of the Oppressed as a main system for creativity and political engagement. We believe these combined systems are integral to strengthening ensemble cohesion and solidarity.GenEnCo creates work in dialogue, both within the company and with the community in which it works, treating performance as a critical intervention for change in our local and global communities.

The Georgetown Palace Theatre, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Georgetown and Williamson County by providing a venue for quality and affordable entertainment and educational opportunities in the performing arts.

    Gilbert and Sullivan Austin was founded with the purpose of educating the public and preserving the works of Gilbert and Sullivan. Musical performances, often free to attend, occur throughout the year. Each June a “Grand Performance” of a Gilbert & Sullivan opera is held, usually with 9 performances. Gilbert & Sullivan Austin was formed in 1976. The group now boasts about 250 members and entertains and educates thousands of Central Texas residents every year.

    Green House Austin is a community art house and boutique on the east end of the North Loop strip. The “green” here is meant, in part, to accentuate Green House as an incubator for local talent. The business regularly hosts live music, art-shows, local filmmaker screenings, and craft fairs. Event space usage is available for the local community during daytime and evening hours; contact the store staff to make arrangements. 4000sq ft outdoor event space includes a 10’x10’ stage with a small PA. Venue capacity is approximately 100 people. Recent acts include The Midwives, Rambler Rose, Talmadge d’Amour, and Rabbit Fist.

    The purpose of the Heart O’ Texas Orchid Society, a non-profit, educational organization, shall be to stimulate an interest in Orchids, relative to their propagation, conservation growth, cultural methods, nomenclature, and their exhibition. The Heart O’ Texas Orchid Society, a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt which DBA Heart Of Texas Orchid Society is an active member of the Austin Area Garden Council, The American Orchid Society, SouthWest Regional Orchid Growers Association (SWROGA) and Orchid Digest, with member representatives attending affiliation meetings and events. In June of 1961, the Heart O’ Texas Orchid Society was organized by our charter members: Dr. & Mrs. S.W. Bohls, Mr. & Mrs J.D. Fisk, Mr. & Mrs. R. Brooks Oakley, Mr. Ed Peterson, Mr. Colin Seale, Mr. & Mrs. Harold Schmitt and Mr. & Mrs. W.B. Wardlow. Here we are over 50 years later celebrating orchids and carrying on their original vision for the society. We owe them a depth of gratitude for their contribution of extensive orchid knowledge that they freely shared with all who were interested, allowing us to broaden our reach to new and younger generations of orchid growers.
