After finally ending a toxic 33 year marriage, surviving severe depression, a battle with breast cancer, and facing her mortality, veteran Austin comedian and performance artist Reppy knew there was only one thing to do: a show. A survivor’s tale with bite, truth & trauma: a love story is not quite a comedy, not quite a tragedy, but is both funny and tragic. 

Known for her over-the-top outrageously hilarious character-driven comedy, Reppy steps out from behind the masks and takes you on a journey through some of the most personal stories of her life, culminating in a wildly entertaining, ultimately triumphant and inspiring struggle to become and love her true self.

An actor, writer, musician, theatre teacher, and director, Reppy got her start at the iconic Chicago House, then brought her fabulous one-woman show, ReppyToire, and her popular children’s productions, ROMP, to The VORTEX.  Her first major show in 11 years, truth & trauma: a love story  showcases Reppy’s unique, wide-ranging talents as both a humorist and dramatist. Her insightful observational approach is enlightening, entertaining, and endearing, resulting in a one-of-a-kind experience you will never forget.
