A unique tactile art experience. Don’t look at the art! You must touch it! High-relief art-for-the-blind, inspired by the Aztec Calendar stone, hidden in black plastic bags. Intriguing, disconcerting, perhaps enlightening!
The iconic Aztec Calendar Stone inspires an exhibit of tactile art. Open to all public, reaching out especially to the blind and visually impaired, this September-October 2018 show in Austin, Texas, forces the interaction of the public with the art to be non-visual on purpose.
Large stylized high-relief champ-levé glyphs of that monumental, complex monolith sculpture area available.
