“As We Saw It”: The History of Integration at the University of Texas at Austin

Featuring the authors, as well as two “Precursors”, African-American students from the early days.  The UMLAUF has partnered with Hotel Ella to host Virginia Cumberbatch and Leslie Blair, authors of the book “As We Saw It: The History of Integration at the University of Texas at Austin.” With the authors will be two “precursors,” African-American students who attended UT when it first became integrated. These Salon Series take place at Hotel Ella’s Goodall Restaurant. They are free to the public but are limited to the first 75 people who RSVP to the event.
