The Secret of the Soap & Spin

Central Texas’ most well-known children’s theatre company, Pollyanna Theatre, a resident company of the Long Center for the Performing Arts, is thrilled to produce The Secret of the Soap & Spin written by award-winning playwright Jonathan Graham.

The Secret of the Soap & Spin tells the story of ten-year-old Vic, whose mother disappears at the Soap & Spin Laundromat. As he frantically searches for her, Vic comes across a strange out-of-order dryer, which turns out to be the portal to a secret, underground world populated by those who have escaped the normal world above. He meets Lint, Dusty (a vengeful dust bunny), and a worn-out Mop. Vic tries to find out if his mother is there, too. A metaphor for the opioid crisis, this play explores

Weekend tickets range from $10.50 – $13.50. Tickets may be purchased online by visiting www.pollytheatre.org. Weekday tickets are $6 for individuals or $3 – $5 for groups, and can be reserved by calling (512) 743-7966 or emailing pollytheatre@gmail.com.
