The Life Changing Magic of Women of Color: The Artists & Their Work

A community event bringing individuals together to celebrate women, fellowship, and create.

Bring your small white item from home to dye during the workshop
and learn how to repurpose and upcycle them with indigo dye.
Any white cotton shirts, tea towels, socks, small pieces of fabric
are welcome. The first six people to rsvp and show up to the event will
receive a tea towel to dye.

Indigo is a mysterious green plant that gives us beautiful blue pigments.
Cultures all over the world have cultivated processes to produce these dyes. Artist Coelina Edwards will talk about African indigo, demonstrate and teach the resist technique adire alabare.
