The Laramie Project: Virtual Streaming Event

In September 2023, Deaf Austin Theatre and Hypernovas Productions will partner to produce the powerful, award winning play, The Laramie Project, written by Moises Kauffman and members of the Tectonic Theatre Project. This is the first professional stage production of this play to be produced in American Sign Language and spoken English.

Filmed at Ground Floor Theatre in Austin, TX, with a cast of Deaf and hearing signing actors. We’ll stream the filming on October 12, 2023, in honor of the 25th Anniversary of Matthew Shepard’s death and legacy in LGBTQIA civil rights.
