Mysterious and seductive, The Firebird is a world-famous ballet about an adventuresome prince who happens upon trouble and seeks the help of a mystical female creature willing to make the ultimate sacrifice so he can find true love. Fall under The Firebird’s spell while enjoying a live performance of composer Igor Stravinsky’s bewitching score by the Austin Symphony Orchestra. We’re pairing this mesmerizing work with a contemporary wonder by quintessential New York choreographer Lar Lubovich. His Dvořák Serenade is as soft and undulating as fine silk in a breeze and a lovely complement to this magical combination of music and dance.
