Sharon Spillar Showcase

Sharon is an expert colorist. She expresses life through her use of color. Her paintings are inspired by views and reactions to places and spaces from both imaginary and actual experience, such as a body of water, a wild storm, a vivid dream, her flower garden and memories and feelings from her life. Her images are full of bold and sometimes subtle color.

Sharon’s Mixed Media – ink, acrylic, chalk, paper, pencil, Letraset, etc. on cradled board: Her Mixed Media pieces are inspired by peeling paint, thoughts and feelings, and her doodles. Many pieces have a unique history of inspiration with the combination of found, gifted and carefully collected and curated sets of ephemera. Her mixed media pieces are designed for the viewer to see a wonderful piece of art from afar that hides a surprise. When coming up close and personal with the piece you will find many hidden treasures.
