Saturday Drawing Salons! All August!

On August 5, 12, 19 and 26 the Saturday Morning Drawing Salons are back at the Ney! Held from 10 to noon, these salons are FREE and open to ALL. Even if you’ve never picked up a pencil in your life. The museum will provide the tools and instruction you need to master the forms that Elisabet Ney so graciously provided us over 100 years ago. Learn to draw in her studio!

Each week will feature a different activity, but feel free to just come sketch! Throughout the month, students will be invited to:
–Understand the techniques of Chiaroscuro
–Enhance confidence and fluidity with gesture drawings
–Learn to depict different grades of tone, light and shade
–Discover the classic thumbnail techniques 
–Complete a “master drawing”!!!
