Robin Hood and Maid Marian’s Wedding
In this all-new episode in Sherwood Forest Faire’s annual series at Austin Scottish Rite Theater, Robin Hood and Maid Marian are planning the perfect wedding day, but the grouchy Sheriff of Nottingham and the wicked knight, Sir Guy of Gisbourne, have plans of their own!
Come witness live sword fighting and live archery as Robin Hood’s merry band of outlaws bring the legendary Forest of Sherwood alive in this original play by the creators of Sherwood Forest Faire. The Faire’s official cast will perform this hilarious, action-packed wedding in partnership with the historic Austin Scottish Rite Theater, where 19th Century architecture and original hand-painted set pieces make the perfect setting for the classic tales of Robin Hood.
Austin Scottish Rite Theater is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is to share and preserve the historic Masonic facility, serving the greater community through high quality performing arts, educational programs, and events.
Enjoy the kid-friendly atmosphere at Austin Scottish Rite Theater where children sit on carpets close to the action, and now parents can enjoy newly restored comfy seats and a gorgeously restored starry ceiling!
Free show parking as available. Metered street parking also nearby. Tickets available online and at the door. Recommended for all ages!
Performances: Sat and Sun Aug 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21 at 11am, with a bonus evening show on Aug 13 at 8pm.
