Pendulum Presents: The Ascendant

Presented by Austin sketch comedy institution Pendulum, The Ascendant follows the inner workings of a gathering of people with like-minded goals, which is a nice way to describe a cult. Their charismatic leader/deity Shannon dropped her physical form many years ago, and finally after years of communication to the group from The Other Side, she has given instruction to her followers on how to Ascend. Through a series of vignettes, The Ascendant captures every aspect of cult life, from the daily minutiae of turnip farming, to the tricky politics of ritual suicide. It’s a comedy show!
