'Motets, Magnificats, and More'

Organist Eric Mellenbruch presents a selection of both composers’ work for organ- at the summit of the art in their day and ours- and joins David Stevens and the St. David’s Compline Choir in infrequently heard choral works that dazzle and delight, in one of the finest venues in Austin for this music. 

The program features two of Bach’s six motets for choir, works of supreme difficulty: settings of the Magnificat (Song of the Blessed Virgin Mary) for choir and for solo organ by Buxtehude; and
