Ensemble VIII presents “Mon Amour – Expressions of Love from the Renaissance” on Feb. 7 at St. Louis Catholic Church Chapel. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
The timeless theme of love is expressed passionately through music in every language. Madrigals, chansons, and ballads addressing the highs and lows of love dominated popular song during the Renaissance. This intimate concert for voices and lute features music from France, Italy, and England and explores the range of emotions when battling this crazy little thing called ‘love.’
