Lone Star Curling Club

Over Memorial Day weekend, the Lone Star Curling Club will be hosting the 4^th Annual Lone Star Open Bonspiel.  Joining the event will be Olympian Mike Peplinski (Nagano 1998, played for bronze), as well as a teams from UT & OU who will play each against other, for the very first time, on Saturday, May 25th @ 4:30p, and the first match of “Olympian Plus 3” will be Saturday at 1:30p.  There will also be the first 10 yr old curling in the Bonspiel.

Location is Chaparral Ice at the corner of Burnet and Anderson. On Saturday, 25th,  Matches start at 8:30a, with the Opening Ceremonies at 10:40a. Matches continue at 11:05a, 1:30p, 4:30p, 6:45p and 9:00p. Sunday, 26th, — there will be a Skill Class with Mike Peplinski at 8:00a, Matches at 9:15a, 11:45a with the Final Championship Matches at 2:45p.  There are teams attending from Oklahoma, San Francisco, Raleigh Durham, NC, Houston, Dallas Ft Worth as well as Austin.
