ICMCA presents Malavika Sarukkai - Bharatanatyam Dance with live orchestra

Malavika Sarukkai is a celebrated Bharatanatyam dancer. She is widely acclaimed for her creative and riveting dance choreographies that transport the viewer to the inner emotions and heartbeat of dance, connecting the art to viewers in an intimate and spiritual manner. Her artistry has been recognized by several international awards, including the Padma Shree from the President of India, the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and the Mrinalini Sarabhai Award for Excellence in Classical Dance. Her life and work was the subject of Samarpanam, a film commissioned by the Government of India.

Her performance in Austin will be accompanied by a Live Orchestra:
