Go Figure Opening Reception

Link & Pin Gallery presents six award-winning Austin figurative painters, expressing their individual impressions of beauty in chaotic times. Artists J. C. Amorrortu, Lawrence Jolly, Meena Matocha, Rhea Pettit, Kristi Standley, and Linda Wandt may have different styles (from loose, alla prima to detailed realism), but all works tell a story. Amorrortu’s surreal figures, Jolly’s “real people,” Matocha’s haunting charcoal portraits, Pettit’s  “bodyscapes,” Standley’s colorful portraits, and Wandt’s symbolic figures make for an exhibition of interesting, colorful, thought-provoking characters. 

Please join the artists at the opening reception on Sat., July 27, from 7–9 pm. Regular hours are Fri-Sun, 12-4 pm. The show runs July 26th – August 18th.
