FronteraFest is five weeks of alternative, offbeat, new, and just plain off-the-wall fringe theatre.

One of Austin’s longest-running, and most beloved performance festivals, FronteraFest returns in 2020 for its 27th year. A legendary vehicle for artists, actors, musicians, poets and performers of all varieties, FronteraFest is renowned as one of the largest fringe performance festivals in the Southwest.

The Short Fringe showcases pieces 25 minutes or less, and runs the entirety of the festival (January 14 – February 15), Tuesdays through Saturdays at Hyde Park Theatre, 511 West 43rd Street. The Long Fringe features pieces up to 90 minutes and runs January 22 – February 2 at Ground Floor Theatre, 979 Springdale Road. Mi Casa es Su Teatro takes place one day only on Saturday, February 8, primarily in private Austin homes and other locations throughout the city.
