What does pride mean to you, your family, or your organization? What is the color of your pride? Is it whimsical or geometric? Is it minimalist or maximalist? This summer, the Dougherty Arts Center is inviting you, your family, or your organization to participate in a community exhibit “Fly Your Flag” by submitting DIY versions of your own unique pride flag to be displayed during the month of June either in a virtual gallery or as part of an outdoor installation at the Dougherty Arts Center.
Create your flag using any materials you wish! (weather-safe materials are required for onsite submissions)
Lay your flag on a flat surface in a well lit area and take a high resolution photo of it. (high resolution scanned images are acceptable, must be JPG or PNG file)
After you’ve finished, submit your work to our Google form: https://forms.gle/1VDxYJygBnbEWuok8
If you are submitting for the onsite outdoor exhibit, details about drop-off will come after you complete your submission.
Requirements to participate in the onsite, outdoor exhibit:
The flag must be 3.5′ x 2′
Have two grommets for hanging
Made of weather-safe materials
Deadline to submit an entry is May 19, 2021, at 6 pm so pull out that craft table and start making!
