Eve & Shiva: Sculpture by Charles Umlauf and Gene Owens

Join us at the Umlauf this summer for an intensive focus on the 1960s and 1970s sculpture of Charles Umlauf and Gene Owens. Fort Worth native Owens spent the summer of 1961 studying with Professor Umlauf, quickly becoming an accomplished abstract and figurative sculpture in his own right. Eve & Shiva centers around two bronze female figures– Umlauf's Eve with Apple and Owen's Shiva– that convey the different influences on and journeys of these artists.
