Dance Another World Showcase at Stateside at the Paramount

Doors open at 6pm, show starts at 7pm. Event is over at 9pm

AUSTIN, TX  (November 10, 2015) Dance Another World in Austin is pleased to announce our annual fundraiser, Dance Another World Showcase at Stateside at the Paramount.

“In Dance Another World, we speak English” said Nicole Tan, a Dance Another World instructor. “Our goal is not just to raise money for the cause, but to help raise awareness of the need for English immersion in our local community and encourage others to support us in our endeavors.”

Pecan Street Association, Sonrisas’s Therapies, Empower Family Chiropractic, Amy’s Ice Cream and Alamo Drafthouse are just a few of the amazing organizations sponsoring this event.  Attendees will be entertained by our students from Austin Independent School District performing multicultural dances they have been rehearsing and researching . There will also be a Silent Auction for guests as a part of the evening’s festivities.

About Dance Another World:  Dance Another World is an English language immersion program taught through dance, and is offered as an after-school program through the Austin Independent School District and other non-profit organizations such as (Safe Place and Refugee Services of Texas). Dance Another World was founded in 2014 by a TOEFL certified instructor, to engage non-english speaking students in the english language through the medium of dance. Without worrying about accent, punctuation or grammar, they get to just DANCE!  In addition to learning english through dance, students learn to respect themselves and have had opportunities to dance in front of Austin City Hall representing our stance on women empowerment.  Mann is a member of Young Women’s Alliance and Dance Another World is a member of the Grant Professional Association, Texas Association Nonprofit Organization and Mission Capital.
