A long-term project chronicling the ways that Austin was built and how that has affected its populace is conducting a series of research discussions. Free snacks.
This project deals with the ways the city was made — the laying of the sidewalks, the construction of the moontowers, the installation of utilities – and how these all have shaped the landscape, both literally and figuratively. We are interested in personal stories, accounts of the institutional racism involved, academic research, and anything involving murders. We will have free food and nonalcoholic beverages for all attendees.
This event will take place from 5 – 6:30 pm on Friday, May 10 ... view more »
