Charlotte Smith: "Daydreams"

CAMIBAart Gallery is pleased to present Daydreams, the most recent series of artworks by Dallas based artist Charlotte Smith.  With Daydreams, Smith continues to explore and push the physical boundaries of paint as an artistic medium.  And while there are all the telltale signs to visually identify the artworks as authentically hers, Smith has once again managed created something fresh and enticing.

Meditative and engaging and a bit like a chameleon, each artwork is versatile and can take on the vibe of the environment around it, as well as reflect the mood of the viewer.  One viewer may find an artwork exhilarating, like blowing snow drifts on the Rocky Mountains just after a blizzard, yet another viewer may think the same artwork is calming like the slow repetitive crash of waves on the beach at dusk.  This is the power of Smith’s magic – her artworks can become the embodiment of our daydreams.  We invite you to make an appointment, enter the realm of daydreams and experience these artworks in person.
