Business Structure: Forming and Maintaining a Business Entity

In business for yourself without an entity? Are you operating a sole proprietorship, or a general partnership if you have partners? Do you have personal unlimited liability for the business? You can form a business entity through the Secretary of State to house and protect your business. You will learn to how to file paperwork to form your own LLC without incurring the expense of an attorney or legal service provider; learn how to obtain an Employer Identification Number (EIN) for your LLC for bank account and tax purposes and how to effectively contract in the name of your LLC so to avoid personal liability for company obligations to the extent allowed by the law.
