The Neill-Cochran House Museum invites you to Artist Talk with Mark Smith. Learn about his process, the history of the piece, and how Mark became inspired to create The Hope Suite.

Mark Smith’s The Hope Suite is a series of forty-four collages inspired by the theme of global unity. Each original 24 x 18 in. work on paper consists of a background monoprint or a digital photoprint, overlaid with collage, calligraphy, and mixed media. In 2019, the entire suite became part of the permanent collection of the Obama Presidential Center Museum in Chicago, Illinois. The works in this exhibition are limited-edition prints of those originals.

The talk will be held inside the Museum. We recommend that guests wear a mask while indoors. Milam & Greene Whiskey will be on hand serving delicious complimentary cocktails.

The Hope Suite will be on display at the Neill-Cochran House Museum from May 25 through December 16, 2022. The Museum is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
