Experience a Latino Art Market, win door prizes and enjoy Mexican pastry and coffee at the 2020 Artisan Mercado©  ribbon cutting  event at La Peña Gallery, 227 Congress Ave, Saturday, March 7.  The Mercado, a place where locals and tourists can shop in downtown Austin for unique, handcrafted Latino and cultural gifts, will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every first and third Saturday of the month through December.  The marketplace is free and open to the public.

Fifty  local artists and artisans are associated with the market and sell  handmade goods from different regions of Mexico, Honduras, Colombia and the Southwest.  Latino products include handcrafted jewelry and ceramics; and ethnic clothing and handbags;  as well as paintings and drawings.
