AFS Presents: Victor/ Victoria

DIRECTED BY BLAKE EDWARDS

USA, 1982, 35mm, 132 min

In a 1934 Paris replicated in classic Hollywood musical style, nightclub entertainer Victoria Grant (Julie Andrews) finds herself without a job or prospects. On a miserable rainy night she is taken in by gay, unlucky-in-love pianist Toddy (Robert Preston), who, after Victoria changes into his dry clothes, comes up with a sensational idea. He passes off Victoria Grant as Count Victor Grasinski, the greatest female impersonator in the world.
