1001 Night of Roma-Gypsy Tribe Belly Dance workshop series

A Roma-Gypsy tribe dance workshop for female adults and children of all levels and backgrounds!

Participation in a workshop can provide overall improvement as a dancer and artist as well as opportunities to participate in theatre shows, concerts, cultural and corporate events, and festivals.

The popularity of tribe dance has only continued to grow over the last few years. Be a part of one of the latest and greatest trends in dancing! There are no obstacles to learn how to Roma-Gypsy dance in age, nationality, body shape, or physical fitness level. Under the teacher`s guidance, each student will develop their own unique way to portray emotions and mood through the dance. We will disclose to you the secrets of Roma-Gypsy dancing because Gypsies are the most fun, most cheerful, and most fascinating! Their music and dance bring joy to the heart and soul. Prepare your skirts, shoes, and mood and enroll into the Gypsy dance workshop! By the end of the workshop, all participants will have the opportunity to live performances at the open-air showcase on Sept 20-21

From stamping feet to beautiful hands and a flying skirt, you will begin to explore the moods and styles of the dynamic and fiery Romany/Gypsy dance in a re-creating setting of real Roma-Gypsy tribe. You will be given a thorough introduction to all aspects of Gypsy dance. You will also begin to develop your stamina, strength and coordination through the study of beautiful Gypsy arms, footwork and traveling steps.

In these fun, energetic and friendly workshops you will be able to :
○ Demonstrate basic Romany/Gypsy arm movements, footwork, and traveling steps
○ Demonstrate basic combinations of arm movements and footwork in a short Gypsy dance
○ Demonstrate basic skirt movements

Please get ready to dance outdoors by the fire.

What to wear in the workshop:
All students must have long skirts or reserve a skirt from the instructor at least a day before the start of the class
comfortable low heel shoes (preferably loafers or moccasins)
