The 2019 Annual Unified Auditions will be held on Saturday, February 2, from 11am to 5pm at The Vortex Theatre. The Unified Auditions serve professional, working actors and production staff in Texas. The audition is open to all artists, union and non-union, local and regional. Actors / production staff of all ages, ethnicities, and physical/mental abilities are encouraged to participate.
The Unified Auditions are open to Production Staff as well! Meet new stage managers, crew, directors, and designers!
The auditors in attendance are Central Texas’ top directors, producers, agents and casting directors of theatre and film. This is your opportunity to have your work seen by multiple agents and directors at once!
All applicants must meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
— Be a member of AEA or AEA eligible OR…
— Have accumulated the equivalent of one year’s acting training
— Have accumulated the equivalent of one year’s production training (Producing, Directing, Stage Managing, Design, Crew positions) OR…
— Have performed in at least two non-school, public stage productions (university/college productions accepted)
What to prepare before the auditions if you’re an ACTOR:
— One 1-minute monologue that best represents your acting ability
— Optional: 16 bars or approximately 30 seconds of music (must provide sheet music in your key). A professional piano accompanist will be provided. Music Auditions will take place in the afternoon.
— 50 standard 8″x10″ headshots and resumes, delivered to the ACA office no later than 5pm, Tuesday, January 29th, 2019.
— All resumes must be affixed to headshots (either stapled/taped/glued or printed directly on the back of the headshot – NO PAPER CLIPS). Resumes must include your telephone number, email address and cite previous performing experience. If you are currently represented please be sure to include your agency’s contact information.
What to prepare before the auditions if you’re in a PRODUCER / DIRECTOR / STAGE MANAGER / DESIGNER / CREW :
— One 1-Minute Pitch that best represents you as an artist. Your pitch should include:
