Curse Mackey

Austin based artist Curse Mackey is best known as lead singer of industrial supergroup PIGFACE and notorious Texas tribal-industrial legends EVIL MOTHERS and as a member of My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult. Mackey has now launched a solo electronic industrial project that includes new material and revamps of classic Pigface and Evil Mothers songs (including Spider Sex and Car Wrecks.) His sound is a future-forward homage to the experimental side of industrial music, with doom-fueled drones, sinister synth pulsations and dirty-minded beats layered upon hypnotic noise manipulations, scream of conscious lyrical prose and near trance-inducing improvisations that evoke the ghosts of Throbbing Gristle, early Skinny Puppy, Lustmord, Coil, and the iconic projects Mackey has been a part of. PIGFACE has also featured such luminaries as Ogre of Skinny Puppy, Martin Atkins of Ministry/Killing Joke, En Esch of KMFDM, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, Genesis P-Orridge of Psychic TV and Danny Carey of Tool, just to name a few.) Mackey is also the co-founder/COO of Mosaic Sound Collective in Austin, TX.

Nina McIntire

Nina McIntire is an extraordinary musical artist who defies boundaries and exceeds expectations. Her artistic background is impressive: with a Master of Fine Arts degree from the prestigious Tchaikovsky Conservatory, she has established a successful career as a Concert Violinist, performed alongside some of Europe’s most distinguished chamber music ensembles and the German State Philharmonic Orchestra Rhineland-Palatinate on some of the world’s most prominent stages. However, Nina’s musical journey does not stop there. Her curiosity and willingness to explore new musical horizons have allowed her to break free from the confines of traditional genres and styles. Nina has reinvented herself as a composer, producing incredible “Ivory Fantasy” piano music, which in an exhilarating way blends elements from both classical and popular music traditions seamlessly. The result is a musical language that transcends boundaries and creates a new space where music can be enjoyed by all, regardless of genre and age. Nina’s “Ivory Fantasy” innovative approach to music continues to inspire audiences around the world. It celebrates the transformative power of music and its many ways in which music can enrich our lives and connect us to one another.

Michael Mendoza

I work with curators to help share historical content through the new medium of location-based augmented reality. “Voces in AR” features WWII Mexican American Veteran content from the University of Texas’ Voces Oral History Project. Additionally, I’m working on a project featuring Comanche Chief Quanah Parker and building a relationship with the Quanah Parker family as I collect their historical content in digital form. I’ve been a featured speaker for social media groups, public groups and I regularly reported breaking news as a lead reporter at KUT, KVUE and KRGV-TV. The McCombs Business School has invited me to guest lecture multiple times on the use of geo-rich social media data for intelligence and real-time engagement efforts.

Michael Mares Mendoza

I specialize in curating experiences that engage, educate and entertain; connecting members of communities at physical locations through augmented reality geolocated installations that you can experience through mobile devices. My work features the blending of oral histories and historical content in digital form at specific locations through the aid of mobile applications. My musical work includes the composition of original songs and unique covers on classical guitar.

Nataly Murph

Performing Arts: Actor, Dancer

As a youth, I was full of the energy required to pursue my dream. The collapse of USSR destroyed my opportunities to work towards my dream there practically overnight. One day, I went to sleep full of joy, plans and hopes, but very next morning I awoke as foreigner in the country where I was born, raised, and lived. From that moment my home turned into unrecognizable place, was altered completely. The movie industry was destroyed and not only me, but everyone was being forced into a new environment due to the economic collapse. I had to develop some survival skills to solve problems that new life threw at me. I’ve entered a Medical School and started a medical career, but did not gave up my dream as actress and as soon I had the opportunity, I joined one and only existing acting school, the request of the Russian Theatre in Turkmenistan. There, the competition was high- only 15 students been chosen from over 300 candidates. Twenty years ago, I made my first step being a theater play director and also play the roles as a professional actress. I learned the best secrets from Stanislavskiy and Nemerovish, Russia’s leading theatre directors. Local media wrote great articles about my first student Musical by Chekov, promising a future, but political disagreement made things difficult, Turkmenistan closed its borders with Russia, and the institute I’ve attended to continue my education as a movie director suddenly became inaccessible. The Russian Theatre itself had been destroyed. Government funds to support the theatre got completely cut off, employees lost their job, needless to say my dream had ended, but not for long, I’ve immigrated to USA and once again began using my survival skills to start everything over. I met my soulmate partner Zhenya Rock with the same passion and as a team, we grow and develop our skills together.

J Muzacz

J Muzacz is a muralist, mosaicist, public artist, community art advocate and educator. Originally from Houston, a graduate of the University of Texas in Sociology, Muzacz has since travelled extensively and lived years abroad painting numerous large-scale murals in places as far reaching as Taiwan, New Zealand and Okinawa, Japan. He is also co-founder of The Mosaic Workshop, an artist-run creative hub at Something Cool Studios in east Austin where community members can learn the process of public art from concept to completion through hands-on mosaic and mural painting projects of monumental scale. Past clients and commissions include Facebook, Vice Media, Anheuser-Busch, City of Austin, HUE Mural Festival, Georgetown Arts & Culture, Flint Public Art Project, CBRE, Transwestern, Troublemaker Studios, and the Texas Commission on the Arts. In recent studio work, J’s stylized stained-glass paintings and pixelated pop art mosaics are inspired by his roots as a street artist.
