The Velveeta Room

Started in the ruins of a strip club at the height of the StandUp boom of the 80’s, The Velveeta Room has lasted for 2 decades in the volatile environment of 6th street in Austin, TX. 2 shows Friday and 2 shows Saturday highlight some of the best comedy from Austin, from all over Texas, and beyond. Thursday night is Open Mic night.

    Good luck. Street parking can be found, but it's not easy. You might want to spend a few bucks and park in a pay lot (ie southeast corner of Fifth and Red River) near the club.
