The New Movement

Welcome to the only venue in Austin completely dedicated to the comedic process with classes and workshops in improv, stand-up and professional comedy writing taught by the most experienced staff in Texas.

The New Movement is a blackbox theater located on 1819 Rosewood Ave next door to the Nubian Queen Lola’s Soul Food and a few blocks east of East Side Pies. The Shootaround is extremely informal and free of judgment, so come ready to play regardless of your experience level. Tip-off is around 8:00p and we’ll play til the lights go out. Audience is welcome!
