Women and Their Work
Women & Their Work is a statewide non-profit contemporary art organization that presents over 50 events a year in visual art, theater, film, dance, music, and educational workshops and programming. Women & Their Work Gallery features on-going exhibitions of Texas women. Since its founding, Women & Their Work has presented 1752 artists in 242 visual art exhibitions, 102 music, dance, and theater events, 22 literary readings, 12 international film festivals, 17 touring exhibitions, 40 publications and 278 workshops in programming that reflect the ethnic and cultural diversity of this region. Nationally recognized, Women & Their Work has been featured in Art in America, ArtForum, and on National Public Radio, and was the first organization in Texas to receive a grant in visual art from the National Endowment for the Arts. Women & Their Work is supported by individual contributors with additional support provided by 3M Company, Alice Kleberg Reynolds Foundation, Applied Materials, BAH! Design, City of Austin, Dynamic Reprographics, H.E.B., Nordstrom, Still Water Foundation, and the Texas Commission on the Arts. Media sponsors: Art Lover’s Guide, Brilliant, and Cantanker Magazine.
