    About the artist:

Recently graduated from New York University with a BFA in Drama. While at NYU, spent my four years within the Playwrights Horizons Theater School (PHTS) studio in the Creating Original Work Program, concentrations in Acting, Playwriting, Directing, Theatrical Design and Stage Management. Aside from two short original solo creations, I have created two full length shows, both produced and staged at Tisch School of the Arts in NYC. The first, "Grasp" is a lyrical play about the conflict between our emotions and our instinct to reason the world we live in. The second, "How We Love", is a new musical featuring some of the greatest love songs by musicians like Queen, Van Morrison, Percy Sledge, Marvin Gaye, Janis Joplin and more and recontextualizes them among young adults in the 21st century. I served as the playwright and director of both pieces. Currently I've relocated to Austin, TX where I'm interested in being a part of the new theater movement outside of New York City. Recently I directed the premiere of the new play "What You Touch Is Gold" by Amory Elizabeth Casto at Salvage Vanguard Theater as part of Frontera Fest 2011. I am currently developing a new piece, titled "The Humming Woods" inspired by the work of Texas-native Indie-rock band, Eisley, which challenges the forms of a traditional straight play and the use of a live a cappella score. I love collaboration and live to be "in the room".
