About the artist:
Leticia Rodriguez produces, directs, writes and performs theatrical and musical works. Beginning her artistic career as a professional dancer in Houston at twelve years of age, she went on to expand into theatre and music, founding Performance Encounters, a multi-disciplinary performance company dedicated to presenting art that develops social consciousness. One can frequently find Ms Rodriguez singing boleros around Austin and beyond. Boleros are a specialized 19th century form of music, originating in Cuba, that in summary, is about love.
