    About the artist: Originally from Texas, Soprano Julie Ann Fiore recently made her professional role debut at the Amarillo Opera as Mary Willis Tweedy in Floyd’s "Cold Sassy Tree", and was asked to return to AO for "Die Fledermaus" as Sally. Other favorite roles have included performing Adina in "L’Elisir D’Amore", Abigail in "The Crucible", Sister Constance in "Dialogues of the Carmelites", Gretel in "Hansel and Gretel", and Elsie in Gilbert & Sullivan's "Yeoman of the Guard". Julie was named a winner of the North Texas Concerto Competition and a three time finalist at the Texhoma Regional NATS Competition. More recently, she was an Artist-in-Residence for the Taos Opera Institute, and now serves as the Directors' Assistant. During past summers, she accepted invitations from the International Institute of Vocal Arts in Chiari, Italy, as well spending two seasons at the Crested Butte Mountain Music Institute in Colorado. Julie has been a featured guest soloist with many regional symphonies and chamber groups in the US and abroad, including a Pops Concert with the Richardson Symphony Orchestra (TX), "A Midsummer Night's Dream" with the Fort Worth/Dallas Ballet, and a Ravel concert with Agostino Steffani Festival Orchestra in Castelfranco-Veneto, Italy. She received her Bachelor of Music from the renowned University of North Texas College of Music and a Master of Music from the Lamont School of Music, Denver. A successful voice instructor, Julie Co-Directed the 2007 and 2008 Amarillo Opera Camps, and currently nurtures a successful private studio in Austin, where she sings occasional recitals and concerts as well as with several local choral groups.
