Austin Chamber EnsembleThe Austin Chamber Ensemble was formed in 1981 as a wind quintet. It has gradually branched out to include all instrumental and vocal combinations in its concerts. The ensemble has given concerts, master classes and school concerts in many Texas cities as part of the Texas Commission on the Arts touring program. Incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1985, the Austin Chamber Ensemble has always had major goals for creative programming, performing new works, artist exchanges and educational presentations. Price: $20/Adults, $15/Seniors and Students, $5/Children (12 and under) |

Austin ShakespeareThe Austin Shakespeare presents professional theatre of the highest quality with an emphasis on the plays of William Shakespeare, bringing to the public performances that are fresh, bold, imaginative, thought-provoking, and eminently accessible, connecting the truths of the past with the challenges and possibilities of today. |

American Repertory EnsembleThe American Repertory Ensemble works to celebrate dance, music, and life through innovative performance. Concerts are programmed to highlight the inherent contrasts and similarities between dance with pre-recorded music, chamber music by itself, and the culmination of dance and live music on the stage together. Its erformance events are designed to engage the community with professional artists of the highest caliber and to educate audiences in the processes involved with the making, the doing, and the observation of art. |

Austin City BalletThe Austin City Ballet formerly known as The Conservatory Dance Theatre, established in 1991, presented the sixth annual “Austin Children’s Nutcracker” for sold-out audiences last December. It is a non-profit organization that emphasizes theatrical dancing through ballet and jazz technique utilizing dancers age 7-18. The En Avant Dance Company, a more technically advanced performance group, explores contemporary movement through classical ballet technique as well as jazz and modern dance influences. |
