Austin Music Hall

The Austin Music Hall is Austin's premier concert and special event facility. The buildings art-deco interior creates a first class atmosphere for over 3000 people. Austin Music Hall hosts concerts and upscale private and corporate events. Recent events include: Velvet Revolver, Switchfoot, Willie Nelson, and Dell Computer Corporation reception and a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

      I am a big Cake fan, but was very disappointed in the New Year's Eve show. The first song that Cake played had several places where all of the band members were off. John McCrea was consistently behind the beat every time he sang. I am not sure if his monitor was bad, he was sick (he mentioned this in one of his many long dialogues), or he drank too much before the show. He also seemed to be in a fowl mood. I would have enjoyed the show more had the music been hitting the beat and the lead getting the crowd excited about being there. Collapse

      It was incredible while he was up there. Not even a 2 hour set. Sorry it wasn't even close to selling out but who's fault is that? Play for the people who DID show up! Tiesto went for 4-5... Expand

      Aside from an extremely rude audience (especially the young aggressive women) the show was amazing. Donna's rocked and Mrs Benetar had me crying for joy within 2 songs. Blondie performed well but... Expand

      Aside from an extremely rude audience (especially the young aggressive women) the show was amazing. Donna's rocked and Mrs Benetar had me crying for joy within 2 songs. Blondie performed well but Pat's the one who has truly endured. Note to self: audience @ Metallica much nicer than the "ladies" show. There are some rough/rude women here in our "liberal" city. And my wife agrees. Collapse
