Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is a botanical garden dedicated to native plants to preserve and restore the natural beauty and biological richness of North America. The Center founded by Lady Bird Johnson, has been working to educate people about the environmental necessity, economic value, and natural beauty of natural plants since 1982. They provide educational programs along with botanical gardens to enhance the experience of those that visit the Center.

    Wildflower sculptures, nature paintings at Wildflower Center Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center Wildflower sculptures, nature paintings at Wildflower Center Presented by Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center March 17-May 28, 2012 As the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center celebrates the centennial year of Lady Bird’s birth, we offer special exhibits on the grounds and indoors. Enjoy the unique metal artwork of Logan Stollenwerck, who knew Mrs. Johnson and created this exhibit in her memory. The 8-foot-tall sculptures in the blooming gardens include a giant bluebonnet and and Indian blanket wildflower. Also visit the beautiful, 3-D paper art of Shou Ping in the McDermott Learning Center. Starting Saturday, June 2, enjoy viewing Robert J. Lang’s indoor exhibit of butterflies, herons in flight and other nature subjects – many folded from one sheet of paper.
