"Sublime Perfection (A-Team)"
Review posted by: Jay Y. from Austin, TX, Jul 11, 2011
There is a legend that Pope Boniface VIII asked the artist Giotto to demonstrate his artistic skill, and in response the artist drew a perfect circle freehand. I have no idea of this story is true or... Expand

"Good Music"
Review posted by: L Graber from Austin TX USA, Feb 12, 2011
The Austin Chamber Music Center February concert was a program of works for piano and string quartet which had been used in movie soundtracks. The choices were very good -- I went because I knew I... Expand

"Delightful Brilliant Musicians"

"Spot-On Perfection"
Review posted by: Jay Y. from Austin, TX, Jul 18, 2010
I'm a singer, and have never learned to play an instrument other than basic piano, so I'm not the most qualified judge of instrumental ensembles. But I have to say, the Cavani String Quartet blew me... Expand

"Chamber Music Festival"
Review posted by: Zelda Austen from Austin, Texas, Jul 16, 2010
This was a concert with a great deal of variety: the Beethoven quartet, an early one, was sedate, playful, classical; the middle piece, by an early modern little-known Polish composer, was atonal... Expand

"Brahms Sonatas"
Review posted by: Andy Scharf from Austin, TX USA, Mar 09, 2010
It’s not that often that you’re invited to understand the thought processes of the artists you’re privileged enough to see, but with Michelle Schumann it’s all part of the show. This is... Expand

"Let's Get Physical with Chamber Music"
Review posted by: Reba Saxon from Austin, TX USA, Mar 09, 2010
People think of chamber music as staid, solemn, and proper. When Michelle Schumann is involved those preconceptions float away along with the surroundings when you close your eyes. Saturday... Expand

"Music in your face"
Review posted by: Charla hathaway from Austin, TX, Jan 25, 2010
So often with top classical players you're in a big hall and rely on your ears only for enjoyment. Not so with the Austin Chamber Music folks, you're up close and get to catch the aerobic of these... Expand
