The New Movement

Welcome to the only venue in Austin completely dedicated to the comedic process with classes and workshops in improv, stand-up and professional comedy writing taught by the most experienced staff in Texas.

The New Movement is a blackbox theater located on 1819 Rosewood Ave next door to the Nubian Queen Lola’s Soul Food and a few blocks east of East Side Pies.     02/24/10- Ongoing	The Shootaround The New Movement The Shootaround Presented by The New Movement at The New Movement February 24, 2010 - Ongoing Since our inception we’ve been offering a place where students (and non-students alike) of long-form improv can come demonstrate their skills and meet fellow performers. The Shootaround is extremely informal and free of judgment, so come ready to play regardless of your experience level. Tip-off is around 8:00p and we’ll play til the lights go out. Audience is welcome!
