Austin Classical Guitar Society

The Austin Classical Guitar Society strives to be a leading promoter of classical guitar in the United States. With excellence and variety in concert and educational programming, ACGS seeks to serve all segments of the Austin-area population. Research and innovation make ACGS a dynamic yet practical model for organizations nationwide. Today ACGS is fulfilling its mission statement more than ever before. In addition to our annual International Concert Series featuring some of the world's finest classical guitarists, we offer monthly meetings for instruction and performance, a guitar ensemble, a website, a newsletter, two annual Community Outreach performance series, student recitals, and a new program which gives free instruction to certain students in the Austin Independent School District.
