Riaz, in collaboration with the University of Texas Music Department, presents a concert by Vidushi Vandana Bhagwat, one of India's finest classical vocalists. Gifted with a mellifluous voice and trained by (among others) the late legend Pandit Nivruttibuva Sarnaik, Vandanaji's specialty is the repertoire of rare and compound ragas from the Jaipur tradition, which she handles with consummate ease. Do not miss what promises to be an extraordinary concert! Amit Bhagwat and Bhavnesh Mathur will accompany on tabla and harmonium respectively.
