Where do you go when you have just shot your husband? When the life you planned didn’t work out? When misery has just got you down? You go home, of course. Is it family that makes you nuts, or the nuts that make your family? The question rings true in Beth Henley’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Crimes of the Heart. The City Theatre Company will present this tale of the dysfunctional Magrath family as they kick off their 2008 theatre season. The New York Post proclaimed, “It has heart, wit and a surprisingly zany passion … it would certainly be a crime … not to see this play.” Directed by Jennifer McKenna with the cast of Melissa Rentrop, Rachel McGinnis, Brianna McKeague, Michelle Cheney, Derek Jones, and Gabriel Smith.
