Dark Side of the Rainbow
January 12, 2008
Add Review/CommentDid Pink Floyd intend to synch up the Dark Side of the Moon with the classic the Wizard of OZ? Some say VCRs were $10000 at that time and it would be impossible to synch a phonograph to the film, change sides on the album and keep synch. Others say the album cover to The Dark Side of the Moon begins with a beam of white light which passes through a prism and turns into a rainbow of colors then passing through yet another prism and reverts back to white light . . . Just like the movie which begins in black and white but then passes through the prism of the tornado and becomes colored beginning in Munchkinland and then goes back to black and white when Dorothy leaves Oz and returns to Kansas. Kind of hard to refute. Regardless, come to the Alamo, get properly stimulated and maybe bring some earplugs, because when the tin man's heart is thumping to the heartbeats in Eclipse (track 9), we'd like you to feel it in your chest as well. Helpful Information: All patrons must be 18 years or older or be accompanied by a parent. Children under 6 are not admitted at any time.
