Golly Gee Whiz
January 19-February 17, 2008
Add Review/CommentBased on classic MGM Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney films of the 1930's, Golly Gee Whiz! is a family musical starring Austin-area children that’ll have the whole audience tappin’ their toes! Written by Eric Rockwell and Joanne Bogart, the action takes place during the Great Depression. It's 1939, and even the town of Happyville is feeling the blues–especially the kids. To lift the town’s spirits and boost the economy, Mickey and his pals decide to “put on a show!” Optimistic and funny, the production introduces young audiences to musical rhythms of a bygone era. Event Location: Groten Stage
