This original performance by the Rude Mechs questions truth, beauty, luck and deserving by mining the life and rumored death of actor-training guru, Stella Burden, creator of The Approach – an acting technique so dangerous the audience must be warned. This work-in-progress presentation is the first opportunity to see our two-year, transcontinental exploration of The Approach, culminating in a recreation of the deadly “Method Gun” exercise, said to have taken Stella Burden’s life. We promise: guns, rope bridges, zip lines and physical danger. We make no claims on behalf of narrative, common sense, or safety. And perhaps, bravest of all, there will be an informal q&a with the creators after each performance to get your feedback.
