All Arthur Len really wants to do is sit in his small, simple corner with his table, his chair, and his potted shrubbery and remain untouched by the frightening realities of his world. Yet his simple wish is not to be. Through the works of Wilder, Parker, and Pinter, the true nature of his existence is revealed. He is to be taken through three stages of his life by friends and family who are not what they should be, and throughout, he is to be plagued by the snickers he hears around him, the shifting of bottoms in seats, the glaring lights, and the changing.
